OPTIMUS® 6 (AM 625X) Silencer (All Mounts)

Description

The Optimus® 6 AM is a 6mm bore additive manufactured suppressor constructed in-house from Griffin’s proprietary Nickel 625X™ superalloy. The OPTIMUS® 6 AM improves on the original 17-4 SS model by further reducing system backpressure to an absolute minimum, while improving its incredible flash reduction characteristics. This is the current lowest flash signature option in the lineup.  The Optimus® 6 AM will be available in three mounting variants: Taper Mount, DUAL-LOK®, and Utility Mount (HUB 1.375×24 TPI); and user’s choice of black or FDE high-temp cerakote finish. This suppressor provides unbeatable performance on 5.56mm platforms, coupled with  high performance and optimal bore clearance for 6mm ARC applications.

The proprietary, patent-pending Nickel 625X™ alloy showed in testing a ~68% increase in yield and tensile strength over additively manufactured INCONEL® 625 at 1200°F.  INCONEL® 625 is a commonly used suppressor alloy in current next generation military suppressors.  Additively manufactured Nickel 625X™ is stronger at 1472°F than INCONEL® 625 cold formed sheet material at room temperature.  INCONEL® 625 cold formed material provided adequate service in the last several decades of military suppressors.

NOTE: Utility Mount (HUB) Optimus® 6 AM Suppressors DO NOT COME WITH A MUZZLE DEVICE OR HUB INSERT. Muzzle Devices and mount interfaces for HUB-mount variants must be purchased separately.
