PRC-22 Silencer

Description

Griffin’s PRC family of suppressors provides precision shooters with the ideal system for supporting precision rifle marksmanship in the absence of a spotter. Designed with the PRS community in mind, this silencer includes a time-able, rise and bias-compensating brake system which facilitates faster follow-up shots and allows the shooter to stay on target, see bullet traces (with quality 17-20 power optics, when the wind and humidity permits), and spot impacts for immediate corrections. HUB-compatibility (1.375×24 TPI) allows the end user to configure their silencer to their preference using Griffin’s HUB mount interfaces, or other manufacturer’s mounting systems.

The time-able brake is held in place by a taper and secured by a threaded collar which can be loosened to time the brake to counteract the shooter’s specific recoil impulse independent on the silencer’s axial orientation when mounted to the host firearm. Spanner wrench-accepting geometry on the timing collar allows the user to firmly tighten the brake in place using one of our Bushwhacker Wrenches. The brake can be replaced with a 17-4 SS flash hider end cap (sold separately) offering improved flash performance when recoil/muzzle rise is not a concern for the shooter’s use-case.

The printed Nickel 625X™ baffle core is 68% more durable than INCONEL® 625® at 1200°F. This baffle stack was further optimized for precision weapon platforms, with a heavy emphasis on sound performance and recoil reduction.

Note: PRC Suppressors DO NOT SHIP with a HUB Mount Interface (1.375×24 TPI) or Muzzle Device, and those components must be purchased separately if desired. Spotting trace requires a stable shooting position affording optimal recoil management, so while the system helps, the shooter needs to do their part.

Ratings & Restrictions

• PRC™ Suppressors are incredibly strong, however there is an expectation of barrel length typical to precision rifles- AKA 10.5″ or longer 5.56mm, 14.5″ or greater .308, 18″ or longer magnum class calibers. Longer barrels promote longer service life.
