Description
The HUB DUAL-LOK® 5 AM Silencer is a managed backpressure 5.56mm suppressor constructed from Griffin’s proprietary Nickel 625X™ powder alloy utilizing state-of-the-art DMLS additive manufacturing technology. This is a major evolution to the DUAL-LOK® family of suppressors which were historically manufactured from traditionally manufactured components.
These silencers utilize the industry-standard HUB threaded rear (1.375×24 TPI) allowing the end user to configure their suppressor with any of Griffin’s HUB mount adapters, or other manufacturer’s inserts.
The proprietary, patent-pending Nickel 625X™ alloy showed in testing a ~68% increase in yield and tensile strength over additively manufactured INCONEL® 625 at 1200°F. INCONEL® 625 is a commonly used suppressor alloy in current next generation military suppressors. Additively manufactured Nickel 625X™ is stronger at 1472°F than INCONEL® 625 cold formed sheet material at room temperature. INCONEL® 625 cold formed material provided adequate service in the last several decades of military suppressors.
The new flash hider end cap reduces system backpressure by peripherally venting gases, resulting in softer recoil impulses, less wear and tear on the host firearm, and reduces operator exposure to toxic gases. This managed backpressure unit takes sound suppression to previously un-obtainable levels of sound performance, offering incredible market leading sound and flash reduction with minimal backpressure. This allows the HUB DUAL-LOK® 5 AM to provide right handed shooters a low backpressure suppressor experience, while left handed shooters should look to our HRT-556 AM ultra LBP suppressors.
Note: The first batch of these silencers were ground for a smooth exterior finish (See image of the FDE silencer above for an example). The silencer you receive may come with the extra machining step of grinding the exterior for a smooth finish. Future restocks will not be ground on the exterior.

Ratings & Restrictions
- DUAL-LOK® Suppressors do not have minimum barrel length restrictions or constraints for rifle calibers. While longer barrels promote longer service life, there are no barrel length restrictions with this suppressor!
