Description
The Griffin Armament Paladin Brake is a compact 2-Port Taper Mount muzzle device that is compatible with all of our taper mount silencers and accessories. Geometrically designed to keep weight to a minimum, the Paladin Brake offers full size performance without the weight penalty.
Equipped with two rearward directing recoil reducing ports, with vertical compensation slots, the two port brake provides flat shooting performance in addition to maximum braking power. Melonite QPQ provides a durable, attractive finish. The Paladin is machined from high strength 17-4 stainless steel that is corrosion and wear resistant.
.22 CAL -1/2×28 version and .30 CAL – 5/8×24 version are pre- drilled for pinning and welding.

Nice design and finish. Made for 6.5mm!!! Not many companies have made 6.5mm brakes yet which is shocking.. I’ll be mounting it on my rifle once it gets back from the gun Smith so can’t comment on it’s performance yet. Based on the design, it has ports to vent gas upward to reduce muzzle flip and rearward angled brake baffles to reduce recoil. Those are both defining characteristics of other proven designs. As with most brakes with similar characteristics, I do think it’ll be a little less pleasant for those shooting next to you but there’s a simple fix for that being a taper mount..

This unit appears to be very well manufactured and finished. I believe this brake will perform to my expectations. I hope this 2 Port Brake will be more ‘sacrificial’ than the Minimalist Brake. Waiting for the Stamp of Approval to my Paladin to arrive sometime next year. Thank You.

I got this break for my 5.56 AR looks great, sounds great, does exactly what a break is supposed to do. Very easy to mount my bushwhacker 46 to my AR the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the directions for mounting it to my AR we’re not helpful at all comes with a bunch of washers for timing purposes and I was unable to figure it out myself. Took it to the local silencer shop dealer and they got it on for me correctly and was perfect from there.

This is the second Taper Mount Paladin®, 2 Port Brake, the first being on my TA-10. The first one reduced felt recoil noticeably and allows for the GA Optimus suppressor to be installed and removed easily. The finish and construction are exceptional and showed no signs of tooling or blemish problems. If this one is as good on the Bergara B-14 as the TA-10, I will be very pleased. Dealing with GA has been a pleasure. On my first purchase I called them for assistance received very polite and knowledgeable assistance, The videos on their site are exceedingly helpful and others on YouTube can answer all questions and how to of using your suppressor and accessories. I highly recommend Griffin Armament for their products and customer service. The best.

It works great. Really manages recoil. I put it on a savage timberline 300 win mag. I thought about dropping it to 4 stars due to an issue i had but it wasn’t with the brake itself. The shim set it came with needs more shims and better quality control on the shim sizes. They are not all at spec. With the shims i had i actually couldn’t time the brake correctly. 1x .01 shim and 5x .002 shims didn’t match 2x .01 shims. The former being to short and the latter being to much. I had to use other shims to get it to time to my rifle. Not the brakes issue so 5 stars as it is an amazing brake.

This is my 2nd taper mount, the 1st found a home on my Bergara in .308 cal “subsonic”. My suppressor of choice being the Revolution 9, it’s subsonic rating for .308 and .300 BO sub and supersonic is why I purchased my second brake for my AR in .300 BO. I will be also purchasing either a cam-lok or ez-lok for my Glock 41 in .45ACP. Griffin Armament has great customer service and outstanding products.
