Description
Griffin Taper Mounts interface with RECCE, Paladin®, EXPLORR®, Sportsman, Optimus®, and Bushwhacker® series silencers, as well as all pistol silencers (Revolution and Resistance series) when using the minimalist blast shield.
Constructed of 17-4 PH stainless steel, the Taper Mount Minimalist Brake has a wear resistant baffle that increases suppressor service life. Additionally the brake features compensating ports that help reduce muzzle climb while assisting in reducing felt recoil. The Minimalist brake weighs a mere 1.8 ounces , approximately 50% less than that of most competing suppressor mounts. The lighter weight reduces suppressor system weight while making the host firearm barrel lighter and more responsive to the shooter. Each brake comes with a shim set for timing. Taper Mount Thread Protector is compatible with this muzzle device for added protection of thread mounts.

The fit and finish on this is top notch. It mounted up easily and the blast shield snugs up tight. I haven’t had a chance to shoot due to the weather but will add to this review once I do. Don’t hesitate to do business with this company. Their customer service is A+.

Came with my Recce 7 suppressor. Lock up was solid and the device keeps the muzzle completely flat. Wish it would have came with the thread protector, and can be a little concussive when not using the suppressor.

Product worked as stated, plenty of shims in package to get correct alignment. Installation was painless. Suppressor mounts easily to mount and doesnt have any play(snug fit). Only thing that would make this better is including a thread protector to prevent damage when suppressor is not attached.

I got the Minimalist Brake to go on my Turbo K suppressor along with the Plan A adapter. The Brake looks great and helps keep my Turbo K in its shortest configuration. I’ll be getting more for my other rifles as well.

I have this particular brake on several rifles, both 5.56 and .300 BLK. It works very well, while not adding too much length to the barrel. I use it with a Form 1 suppressor, and it helps reduce the wear on my aluminum baffles by acting as a blast baffle. Great product!

Extremely effective and in ECHO mode on my little CQB build I can keep every round center mass at 15 yards well shooting as fast as I can. Quick double taps at 15 yards the bullets land within an inch of each other. Wish I could upload a video on here. Cant say enough good about it. If you are not afraid of a little noise and fire it is amazing.

I bought two of them, since I now have two 6.5 Grendel rifles. these brakes allow me to use the Optimus Silencer between the units, fairly easily. 5/8×24 thread 6.5mm bullets.
