The Griffin Armament Universal Taper mount provides a rock solid sound suppressor interface for RECCE, Paladin®, EXPLORR®, and Sportsman Silencers.
The newest generation of the FlashComp is built off the Hammer Comp design. We took the FlashComp that brought market leading muzzle stability and recoil control to the Universal Taper Mount Interface and upgraded its performance. The Flash Comp is not just another muzzle device, it is a recoil reducing, low muzzle flash signature, muzzle neutral, and comes packaged in a mid length muzzle device that offers you all of the suppression in one market leading muzzle device.
CNC Machined of heat treated 17-4 PH billet material, the FlashComp Taper Mount provides a sacrificial baffle to increase the service life of your Recce, Paladin, or Sportsman Sound Suppressor. Taper Mount Thread Protector is compatible with this muzzle device for added protection of thread mounts.

Ok. How do I say this. I absolutely LOVE this. If you think you have a soft shooting rifle, put this on and enjoy the shooting experience. Yeah, I know it’s a little heavy on the wallet but spend the extra cash, you will not regret it.

I have a ar with a thermal scope on top. I had a top of the line flash hider for it but with the purchase of my Griffin suppressor I needed a taper mount muzzle device. This flash comp is the best of both worlds and I feel that when the suppressor is not mounted, this flash comp actually works better at holding the flash back than my dedicated high dollar hider I had on the rifle before.

I have an older version of this in the 5/8″ threading and the newer version in 1/2″ and they both work great. They come with plenty of shims and the instructions are easy to follow. Without a suppressor mounted, they do an excellent job of overcoming muzzle rise so long as you have them timed dead on. If they’re even just a little bit crooked, expect to be pulled off to one side or the other. Attention to detail is key. Also, if you have one of those big, beefy armorer’s wrenches from Brownells, it won’t fit on the wrench flats for these. The wrench that comes with the suppressor fits perfectly, though.

Grabbing a Taper Mount Flash Comp was a great idea. This line of product is great, especially when you want to intermix something like a Recce 7 and a Blast Shield for a .300 AAC. The gang at GA are quite helpful and fast with shipping… when what you want is in, that is.

The Flashcomp was a radical departure for me in a muzzle device, just looked too aggressive for old conservative me. I was looking for a taper mount device to live on my 11.3″ 6.8 SPC upper. The guys at Griffin suggested it because of the two sacrificial baffles that will go easier on my Optimus suppressor. So I stepped out and bought it. Glad I did! I’ve fired factory 115 gr HP ammo and the muzzle doesn’t jump; nada, none, zilch. Haven’t tried it with the suppressor yet so can’t comment on the performance. The included mounting instructions were easy to follow and was able to get a perfect time at the specified 45 foot pounds. If you’re looking for a combo flash-comp, this is it. Buy with confidence.

I purchase this to mount onto my 223 Wyld AR15 platform so I could run my optimist micro. Mounting was easy enough and it is the exact size of the adapter for the micro.

High quality muzzle device. I’ve used it unsuppressed so far and it works well as both flash hider and compensator. Definitely what I would call low percussion . Looking forward to a future purchase of a GA suppressor to run the taper mount.

Timed easily with the shim kit, and my recce5k threads on perfectly. Good quality flash comp and looks amazing. Need to do more testing with night shooting, but does a good job at mitigating some muzzle rise. Overall- love griffin stuff!

I waited until my 300 blackout build was completed and I ran a good 400 rds through it. All I can say is it’s perfect. The flash is very minimal and recoil feels really good. Highly recommended, will update after I get the matching suppressor.
