Description
With the appropriate Griffin Armament Suppressor Alignment Check Rod, an end user or gunsmith can verify alignment of the chosen suppressor and mount with the desired host. Installation and use of this tool is simple and should prevent baffle strikes or any unexpected issues once you get to the range.
Griffin Armament has gone to great lengths to accommodate a wide variety of thread pitch and caliber options across our silencer mount and adapter products. This gives practically every end user who wishes to suppress their host the opportunity to do so! With this wide range of compatibility comes its own set of issues, the main one being silencer and mount alignment to the host firearm’s bore.Â
To use the Suppressor Check Alignment Rod:
- Properly mount your silencer to the host firearm
- Insert Suppressor Alignment Check Rod down bore of the silencer and into the host firearm bore until the end of the rod is flush with the end-cap of your silencer
- Observe alignment and confirm rod is positioned near the center of the silencer bore (refer to images above for examples of proper alignment and misalignment)Â
- Host firearm may need to be rotated around bore to confirm alignment due to tolerance between the bore and check rod.
- If mount and silencer are in alignment, remove rod and enjoy your suppressed firearm!
If you are experiencing misalignment with a Griffin Armament suppressor, please contact our Customer Service department for assistance. We may be able to help, however it is important to note that some threaded barrels in the market are not cut with the needed quality to safely mount a sound suppressor. If your firearm exhibits this condition we suggest the use of Adco Firearms in Sylvania, OH for custom suppressor grade threading.

As a prototype machinist for a large Engineering Company machinist I use high precision tools on a daily basis. Good tool aren’t cheap, the only way I could attempt to find a defect would be to use a CMM. My 0.0001″ mic’s were spot on the engagement with the barrel of my rifle was like glass on glass. It’s a piece of mind to by a check rod, 800 can or 60ish dollars. It’s not worth rolling the dice and gamble on you rifles threads being concentric to the bore, then the muzzle device and then the cans threads. That called tolerance stacking and that’s always stupid

Whisper pickle alignment is very important. Stick this in your Pickle or you will not be able to relish in the joy of using it without worrying about baffle strikes.

Griffin coming through and this product is offered at a great price.
The rod is engraved with the caliber and branding. Packaging is A+++.
The ends of the rod are machined and are butter smooth. No need to worry about this thing damaging your supressor or barrel.
Inclined to buy one in every caliber honestly.

These are a must! We found a QD on the can wasn’t lining up. It would have hit the walls on the can. The rods saved us time and money!
