The Taper Mount PLAN-A™ adapter provides a low profile (only adds .430″ in length) Griffin Taper Mount interface for Griffin pistol silencers, and other suppressors with mount interface inside diameter threading of 1.125×28 such as Silencerco® Octane™, Octane 9K™, Octane 45k™ and Rugged Suppressors® Obsidian™. No proprietary tools required. Machined in our Watertown headquarters from billet 17-4 stainless steel, this adapter provides a precision made interface that gives you access to nationally recognized Griffin Taper Mounts and accessories. The exposed length or length added of the Plan-A™ when installed is .430″. This allows for a wide range of taper mount accessories to be fitted to the suppressors.

Bought one of these for my pistol caliber carbine i just built. Fits great with my older Silencerco Octane suppressor. Im running the minimalist flash hider in 1/2×36 9mm and it looks great on my carbine.

Excellent component to allow use of the Optimus suppressor in short configuration (6.5″ instead of 9.5″) on AR platform and using Hornady Black 75gr InterLock HD SBR ammo that has no unburnt powder after 11.5″ and no muzzle flash.

Paired this with my optimus to replace the minimalist blast shield for a shorter package on a 300bo mk18.
Would be nice if it threaded directly to the optimus rather than the booster housing but still looks and works great as is.

I bought this so I could use tapermounts with the obsidian 45. If fits perfectly and i can now mount the can up to anything with a tapermount. It’s worth noting that having the griffin tool is helpful for getting it appropriately tight, or getting it off if it snugs up too much. It doesn’t come with the tool. The slots almost look like a castle nut wrench would work, but it won’t… it’s not the right size.

Fit and finish are the quality you’d expect from Griffin. This adapter is a great option for using suppressors across different hosts with taper mount that don’t require the blast shield. I use this for the Resistance 9 on an AKV.
