NOTE
1/2×28: Indexes off the barrel shoulder. For use on standard, sub compact, compact, and full-size tilt-barrel firearms that have a normal profile of barrel (G19, G17, P320, S&W M&P 2.0).
1/2×28 Special: Indexes off the face of the muzzle. For use on micro compact tilt barrel firearms with little to no barrel shoulder due to the thinner profile of the barrel (G43, G43x, G42, G48, P365, P365XL, Hellcat).
If you are concerned about fitment, the 1/2×28 special will work on a normal profile barrel as well. It will operate the same, but if you have a longer threaded surface on your barrel, you may see uncovered threads rearward of the muzzle device when using this option.

The size of this is a hair bigger than my thread protector that came with my barrel. It clears an open bottom kydex holster. I was surprised I could actually notice a difference on a glock 19. Further evidence is that the compensator caused a failure to feed on 115gr AE TSM and normal 124fmj, when I did not have these issues before. However, it functions correctly using my carry ammo of 124 +p HSTs. The failure to feed is a non issue as I can swap recoil springs to the next lighter one. But I probably wont because I mainly run 124 nato or +p for training and carry. The 3 ports happened to line up very well even though the barrel is a different manufacturer.

Since my purchase I have had one training outting and I have to say I am impressed all around with the micro comp. It handles very well. I know that many people say that looks don’t matter on your duty weapon, but they do to me and this addition just looks awesome on my G45! Great quality, fit, finish, function and aesthetically appealing. What’s not to love.

The brake itself is great, I’ve ran into one flaw. Regardless of tightening either by hand or with a wrench. It will still loosen. If yall could ship with a crush washer, it would help greatly.

I actually have 3 of these now. As one would expect they dont make a huge difference in felt recoil but its certainly noticeable and if you have a threaded barrel the simplicity and quality cant be beat. Why not just run one of these in place of your thread protector when not using a can.

There is a noticeable difference when installed on my Glock 43X. There may be better devices but not this small. It is very effective with Sig 365 9mm self defense rounds.

While this is the first time I have used a compensator, I confess to being rather impressed with the improvement in the behavior of the FN509 I shoot. Using the compensator led to better groups – even the brass casings were gathering more closely together than when i took off the compensator for a side by side test. The fact that it hardly adds any length to the barrel makes it all the more reason i am keeping it on there permanently.

Purchased the item to try on compact 9mm for example, G43 and G19. Wanted to see if there was an appreciable difference in felt recoil when shooting smaller vs firearm the size of G19. First, quality was excellent along with supplier communication. Notified when order was received and shipped. Second, it should fit any 1/2×28 9×19 threaded bbl. I used it on a True Precision and Silencerco bbl. Thirdly, fired both with and w/o the comp. I must say that I did notice milder recoil with the comp. Able to get back on target ever so quicker. It was a little softer obviously on the G19 but did tame some of the recoil. I now carry it on the G43 and when carrying the G19, will transfer it to that firearm. I’m now waiting on the bbl and comp for P365. It isn’t too expensive to try and doesn’t take up much more room in the holsters I use. Very pleased.

I was looking for the most appropriate compensator for my new SIG P365X-Romeo. I found it. This is it. It’s by far the smallest I could find. I have a TRUE threaded barrel and TLR light and laser. This carry piece of mine is now absolutely astounding and this Griffin compensator completed the package. It’s small but STILL effective. Happy.

Besides looking awesome and spicing the aesthetics of my P365X. It performs tremendously well. I have taken it out a few times now to the range and have had a few others put a few mags through with and without the comp installed. Just that little bit extra recoil management goes a long way. Only drawback is muzzle flash at night or when it’s darker. Otherwise this is a great product for its value, a functional thread protector that gives added accuracy with threaded barrels.

I purchased a threaded barrel for my Springfield Hellcat and was looking for a Comp that would help with recoil, but not add too much bulk to the end of the gun. This turned out to be the perfect setup. It is barely any larger than the thread protector that came with my barrel and helps reduce recoil by at least 25-30%. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed for its small size. I shot this side by side with my friends new Hellcat RDP and we both agreed that this felt like it had a slight advantage over the factory comp that Springfield offers. Definitely worth the upgrade and I’ll be looking at purchasing another for one of my other carry guns
