Griffin ATM (Advanced Threaded Match) Barrels are billet machined from 416R chromium stainless steel to exacting tolerances for the ultimate in drop in match performance. 5 axis machining done in a single work holding positions all critical dimensions on the breech ensuring theoretically perfect geometrical relationship of barrel, slide and locking lug. Chambers are honed and polished to ensure an extremely smooth surface finish and optimal reliability with a wide range of ammunition from training to duty ammo. Barrel is great and functioned well. The micro compensator did make a difference in reduced muzzle rise but it should have a set screw. I put a little lock tight on it because it did loosen up after a few rounds.

I didn’t think this tiny thing–barely bigger than a thread protector–would do much of anything. However, as all of the youtuber reviewers I watched said, it definitely DOES make a difference. To me, it reduced overall recoil about 20% and that softer recoil impulse allowed me to keep the gun from rising about 20% better than normal (tracking my red dot was easier). Function was 100% with all ammo (115gr, 124gr, and 147gr). It really does punch above its weight for what it is…the fact that it makes a noticeable difference while being the size of a thread protector is pretty cool.
Because of the increase in sound and blast, I’d like to give it 4-stars, but that would be unfair, since all comps increase sound/blast.

I run this on a 43x with the DPM recoil spring. It shoots everything from target ammo, to the fairly snappy, Federal 124+P HST, with 100% reliability. My POI shifted minimally and it seems as accurate if not more so than the factory barrel. The comp really takes the bite out of this little gun.

It does make a difference I think do to what it is, but also the added weight of extra barrel length and comp, the only thing I would change I’d want to comp to fit a little tighter to front of slide, it would look that much better, but I still like it.

Barrel drops in and locks up tight, compensator provides noticeable reduction in recoil with negligible bulk added for comfortable EDC inside the waistband. Great product.

Barrel and comp look great. I had FTF’s at the beginning but after about 30 rounds it started to feed better, after about another 100 rounds it was running smooth and dead on target. You may or may not experience problems with yours but get discouraged, keep feeding it, knock of the burs and by the end of your session at the range you will be glad you purchased this item.
