Ten years of muzzle device research, design, testing, and manufacturing resulted in our latest revision FlashComp. With winning features of our Hammer Comp integrated, the new flash comp adds an additional sacrificial baffle, offers better flash signature, and is reduced in weight!
The Griffin Armament Gate-LOK™ muzzle devices interface with Gate-LOK™ suppressors (M4SDK, M4SD2, 30SD, and 30SDK) as well as the QD Blast Shield.
The Gate-LOK™ Flash Comp optimally combines the functions of three traditionally separate classes of devices- Muzzle Brakes, Tactical Compensators, and Flash Suppressors. The Gate-LOK™ Flash Comp achieved a perfect 5 out of 5 in National Tactical Officers Association testing to achieve the rare, coveted, NTOA Gold seal of approval granted to devices which achieve perfect evaluations.
Compatible with the M4SD series Gate-LOK™ suppressor interface. The Flash Comp provides a sacrificial baffle to increase the service life of your silencer. It is also pre drilled, and 2.25″ length for 14.5″ to 16″ permanently attached, Non-SBR, M4 carbine builds. For optimal flash reduction we recommend 14.5″ or longer barreled host weapons. Extreme durability, low concussion, flash and recoil reduction are the wave of the future- the Flash Comp provides an elegant solution to a complex problem. Includes shim set for mounting to suppressor. An over-travel stop is no longer included with this muzzle device because the device features an over-travel stop machined into the device itself.

I have the M4SD-II Flash Comp on a mid length 16″ build and it is a tack driver! I was pretty surprised with the muzzle rise reduction and the muzzle flash reduction. It does a great job of both. However, the concussion is pretty harsh. You DO NOT want to shoot with no ear protection. Especially indoors. If you’re looking for a muzzle rise/muzzle flash device, look no further. This one does the job.
Note: When installing, make sure the Griffin Armament emblem is at the 6 o’clock position.

After shooting several different muzzle devices and brakes from numerous companies throughout the industry, (surefire, lantac, cmmg, KAC, and the old faithful A2) this is by far the best blend of not only reducing muzzle climb, but mitigating flash as well. Top notch fit and finish, and compatible with several different cans and brake shields that Griffin offers. For the price you will be hard pressed to find better value from any other manufacturers in the market.

Those three words pretty much describe it. You’ll shoot super flat, which is fantastic. I definitely felt like I had much more muzzle control and consistently shot flat. The caveat to that is it’s louder than your A2 birdcage, which is to be expected with any sort of comp or brake. Fit and finish is immaculate which is one of the things I love about Griffin. Next up is the M4SD silencer to go along with my flash comp.

After owning tons of different devices I am happy to say I have found the holy grail. The flash comp gives the shooter everything they want in a muzzle device and nothing you don’t. Sacrificial baffles for suppressor use, great muzzle rise mitigation, decent flash reduction, and it is not overly concussive. Will be buying 5 more.

The flash comp is amazing! Hands down one of the most well rounded muzzle devices I’ve ever used. Performs very good. Just don’t put it on a barrel shorter than a 14.5” unless you hate your hearing… or are running a silencer 99.5% of the time, cause this bitch is loud

They’re easy to install correctly, they come with everything you need for install, and their performance is flawless.
