The Taper Mount Minimalist Blast Shield was designed to offer significant concussion reduction for the end user and other team members operating in the immediate vicinity. The Minimalist blast shield can also convert the Optimus silencer to a 7.9" 15.7 ounce mid size taper mount configuration compatible with minimalist taper mount muzzle devices only. In the blast shield configuration, the minimalist brake shield is compatible with all taper mount muzzle devices. COMES STD WITHOUT THREAD PROTECTOR. Thread protector, if desired, must be selected from the drop down option menu.

Especially effective on short barrels, the Taper Mount Blast Shield directs concussive force forward . Ultra strong 17-4PH stainless steel provides a robust material to withstand intense use and full auto fire without fear of failure. Flats on the rear of the device allow the use of a large adjustable wrench, strap wrench, or vise for removal if needed.

Excellent fit and finish. Great addition to your optimus suppressor to shorten its length and reduce weight. Shoots very well while maintaining a rifles accuracy.

As their tapermounts are incredible, so is their blastshield! Excellent fit and finish. I was looking for a 1.180x 24 tpi in the "option A" tapermount accessories, which this isnt, but it directs the blast forward as advertised and it probably will for 30,000 rounds. Nice design.
Steep price for what it is, but saying that, it's top notch quality and bombproof. Should work great on my 300BO pistol and Optimus.
Can't beat the range of use, plus fit and finish for this component. Feels like the cherry-on-top for my high-end cqb build; and will support an Optimus perfectly!
Great addition to a pistol build or SBR. Also we prefer these for use on the optimus for 300 BLK-308 WIN taper use. Add a titanium brake and it really cuts down the weight on the optimus.
If I would have know how easy getting a silencer was through you guys. I would have done it years ago. This guy is a customer for life.
If you have an Optimus, this will be the best addition you can make outside of a hammer comp. This never comes off the suppressor. The extended mount that comes with the optimus is just a tad long for my taste. Never had to use it with any of my configurations. Actually, the longer mount is what I use as a blast shield. I recommend.
