The Griffin Armament taper mount muzzle devices interface with our taper mounted suppressor (RECCE, PALADIN®, EXPLORR®, Sportsman, Optimus®). To be compatible with the Optimus® 9, THE BLAST BAFFLE MUST BE REMOVED.
The Taper Mount Hammer Comp provides 2 sacrificial baffles that reduce recoil and ensure maximum service life of your suppressor. Slotted compensating features provide tuned muzzle stability. CNC machined from a solid bar of heat treated 17-4ph stainless steel, the Taper Mount Hammer Comp is built to last.
This muzzle device is 1.89" length from the countersunk thread shoulder to the front face, and is = length to an A2 flash suppressor with .14" thick crush washer, so it can be used in conjunction with so called "14.7" barrels which are marketed as able to be permed to 16.1" non NFA length using an A2 and crush washer. The actual barrel length 14.835" will bring this device and crush washer mounted A2's to ~16.1" breech face to forward surface of permed barrel assembly. Taper Mount Thread Protector is compatible with this muzzle device for added protection of thread mounts.

Purchased this taper mount at the suggestion of Griffin Cust Svc to be used with my Ruger American in 350 Legend. As always with Griffin Armament products, the machining is perfection and it fits like a glove. Griffin's Customer Service has been extremely helpful in answering all my rookie questions in trying to set up & use my new Optimus silencer. My first silencer, and they have gone to extremes to help me choose the right accessories for all the guns I want to use it with.
Got this for a form1 can using a titanium adapter. Fits like a charm and looks amazing, wish the thread protector was still included though. Had to pay $16 to add it. Still, love these taper mounts!
Very nice fit. Took a couple of try’s to get it aligned but works great. I would recommend this item
Great item for use on my AR Love the way it works with my Griffin Optimus
I love this comp. It has the look of a VG6 with the great taper mount of Griffin. I replaced my minimalist with this because it is more sacrificial than the minimalist which should help with the supressor report and life.
Haven’t got a chance to install it yet but looks really well made. You can tell its quality.
