The Taper Mount Blast Shield was designed to offer significant concussion reduction for the end user and other team members operating in the immediate vicinity. Often team members in CQB environments experience concussion from muzzle blast that is not only deafeningly loud, but also can cause prolonged headaches that can last for days afterwards.
Especially effective on short barrels, the Taper Mount Blast Shield directs concussive force forward while the internal pocket allows the muzzle device to retain it's specific performance goals. Ultra strong 17-4PH stainless steel provides a robust material to withstand intense use and full auto fire without fear of failure. Fluted Geometry in the rear of the device provide geometry for attaching and detaching quickly.
Melonite QPQ surface treatment provides an extremely hard, durable, and attractive finish.

Blast Shield is an Excellent Product and alternative to using your Suppressor on your AR all the time. Ensures majority of blast & noise is directed downrange and away from your rifle and folks to the left/right of you at the range or out hunting. Good Product!
Quality is outstanding! Especially beneficial to those with SBR's!
The shield is very well built, screws on/off easily and does a great job directing the blast forward on SBR's and pistol builds.
Bought this to use when I don't have my Recce suppressor mounted on my 11.5" SBR. Does an incredible job of pushing the concussion forward of the shooter. The finish has held up great and lock up was rock solid.
