The Sportsman Ultra Light .300 caliber is a user serviceable silencer with full size performance and is magnum rated but weighs a flyweight 11.4 ounces. At half of the cost of heavier weight titanium silencers the Sportsman Ultra Light is hard to beat. Billet machined entirely out of heat treated 7075 aluminum, the Sportsman Ultra Light is light enough to pack in the field all week long but durable enough to take a beating from the . 300 Remington Ultra Magnum. Taking advantage of low mass properties of 7075 we were able to make a suppressor with durability typical of titanium silencers with an incredible weight savings utilizing a hybrid baffle stack.
The hybrid baffle stack consists two 17-4 stainless heat treated blast baffles followed by 7075 anodized aluminum baffles to keep the silencer lightweight and durable. The Ultra Light series now features our patented H.E.D.P. baffles that offer high performance sound reduction. Along with the new high performance baffles, the baffle stack also featured our RTZ (return to zero) geometry that allows the user to easily align and lock in their baffle stack to keep a repeatable zero even after disassembly of the silencer.
The Ultra Light series features internal 17-4 Stainless Steel mounting to our taper mount system that gives the user a rigid, easy and repeatable method of attachment while offering the user their preferred choice in muzzle devices. Included with the series is a muzzle device that offers a compact and lightweight silencer attachment, however, direct thread adapters are available for users who want to run in a direct thread configuration.

If you are on the fence whether or not you should buy a suppressor quit wasting your time thinking and get the process started! I just received my Sportsman UL and my mind is blown. It isn't full auto rated but unless you shoot like a maniac I feel this can is a perfect option for the average guy who enjoys casually shooting. It is light, serviceable, and fits on many, many firearms. My .300 blk is now a joy to shoot and I can not get my .22 away from my wife now. It is an absolute blast! I never want to pull the trigger on a rifle without my Sportsman on the end. It is a total game changer for me.
My current 30 cal. silencer weighs almost 30 ounces! I visited my Sportsman Ultralight in prison today and although I have yet to shoot with it, I just know it is going to be my favorite hunting can. Flawless finish, extremely light weight, great mounting system, and quality workmanship. I can't wait! I could have shot it at the indoor range, but I know that would have just been a tease. I would have been wearing muffs anyway, so once it comes through I'll update this review.
I can't wait for this stamp to be approved! The Sportsman Ultra Light 300 arrived at my dealer a couple days ago, and I fell in love instantly. The first thing I noticed was how incredibly light it is. The next thing I noticed was the fit and finish which is top notch, as you can expect from Griffin.
I have the direct thread and the taper mount and love them both. It is a very quiet suppressor and really takes the bark out of my .300 WM. I would highly recommend this suppressor to anyone due to its light weight and great noise reduction.
