Description
The Mil-spec Gas pocket BCG is an affordable way to buy the intellectual property advantage of reduced operator ear signature and gas blowback of Ar15’s used in conjunction with NFA registered muzzle sound suppressors. This carrier melds our Gas Pocket IP and anti-tilt geometry into a Mil-spec 8620 black nitride carrier with 4140 black nitride key, utilizing a C158 Maganese phosphate bolt, with S7 tool steel extractor. If you would prefer the full benefits package, check out the full-proprietary Gas Pocket BCG.
While this carrier can improve right ear sound reduction on any 5.56mm/.223 AR-15 host with Carbine or longer gas system, the highest sound reduction performance we have measured and tested takes place when this BCG is coupled with non-adjustable rifle-length gas systems being suppressed by conventional muzzle mounted sound suppressors. If you have a suppressor tuned gas system with one of the few currently available ultra low backpressure suppressors, reducing right ear sound signature is more minimally responsive due to the fact there is very little excessive gas to mitigate the sound signature of.
This bolt is also a $17 optional upgrade to our uppers and rifles, adding value.
Note: Using this product with a pistol-length .300BLK gas system may result in poor cyclic performance, and is not recommended.

Louis Lombas –
I have 2 of these – 1 on a 10’5″ 5.56 with a Griffin 300 HD Suppressor and another on a 7.5″ 300 BLK with a GSH Hyperion Suppressor. The addition of the Griffin Gas Pocket BCG made a noticeable sound difference at the ear! The BCG is high quality and well worth the money if you are looking for a quality BCG that offers a nice reduction in sound.
