I bought this lower as my very first build base. Being a lefty in a right hand dominant world sucks quite a bit…..but when you have amazing products, like this MKII lower receiver, it makes it that much sweeter. Definitely a purchase that you want to make when you can. Ordered and in hand at my FFL within 16-18 days (listed lead time was 1-2 weeks following receiving FFL transfer info)
Well made, full ambi is nice
I just had the opportunity to go shoot this (with a MK1 upper), and it performed great! The ambidextrous features are always appreciated, the appearance and functionality are both flawless, and it’s a Griffin lower so the reliability is always there. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about this lower.
This lower is great especially for the money. The quality is impeccable. The finish is immaculate. Function is very intuitive. Best lower on the market at the price point hands down. I'll buy these forever.

Everything is in spec, one small burr in the pivot pin spring hole, but otherwise excellent shape. Anodizing matches well with my BCM and HK uppers. The lift type bolt release works much better for me, the travel required is more than the HK but it does seem smoother and easier to engage and disengage. I have about 600 rounds through it with most of it suppressed. Plenty of carbon and junk in the bolt release system and no issues with operation or ease of use yet. It has an M16 internal cutout, and is marked auto, so if you are lucky enough to have a DIAS you should be in business. The ambi mag release is pretty low profile. It has to be pushed pretty much completely flush with the lower to release it. It could be a clearance issue with my mag release, but both I tried were the same. With that said, I wasn’t able to hit it on a magazine or anything on my carrier and release it like others I have had would, so it may very well be by design. It does have a decent fence around the left hand mag release so it is well protected. The magwell is flared quite a bit and easy to find under pressure. Wish the trigger guard was milspec but I get that pretty much everyone has gone to integrated guards now. This is forged so that was a big plus compared to many others that are billet. Overall, I don’t know of any ambi lower I would take over this that is remotely close to this price point.

This is the second ambi lower I’ve received from Griffin Armory. The price is a no brainer and the features are top notch.
Awesome lower! No tooling marks anywhere on the lower everything looks perfect. Best thought out design for an ambi lower. Highly recommend!!
