Initially designed for elite HRT unit’s, Griffin Armament’s HRT-556™ model is the shortest addition to the DUAL-LOK® family of suppressors. The latest version HRT-556™ G2 Suppressor features an improved low-profile flash hider endcap that works in conjunction with the ECO-FLOW™ baffle stack to reduce gas backpressure and improve cyclic performance of the host firearm. Other notable improvements incorporated into the HRT-556™ G2 include an improved, lower backpressure ECO-FLOW™ baffle stack, and a thicker blast baffle to increase durability vastly over the already incredibly robust G1 HRT-556™.
The HRT-556™ features the patent pending DUAL-LOK® mounting system, an accurate, robust, reliable, and wear free system with robust muzzle device support. The suppressor itself was designed to have minimal flash signature, POI shift, and gas blow back, coupled with maximum strength, durability, and high sound signature reduction performance.
Baffle technology for this product is linked to a recent Griffin patent and aggressive 4 month R&D program, and a second high durability R&D program targeting reduction of cyclic rate increase, making the suppressor host firearm operating system more reliable and less affected by the suppressor, reducing the contamination of breathing air in the vicinity of the operator’s face compared to previous technology. The patented low profile flash suppressing end cap further adds performance to the low flash baffle system.
DUAL-LOK® suppressors are machined in Griffin’s Watertown Wisconsin facility by freedom loving Americans.
This suppressor is NOT compatible with the DUAL-LOK® Stealth Flash Suppressor (2.75") or the DUAL-LOK® Bayonet Flash Hider.

I wanted to wait till I got over at least 1500 rounds when I got the suppressor back in March. I've been blown away by the performance of not just the sound signature but the ease of ordering the suppressor in the mail, the little to no POI shifts on all my 556 guns that I am able to tell, how it suppressed gun shot sounds from even a 7.5 using M855A1. I NEVER once encountered carbon lock. One range outing was almost 300 rounds of near continuous fire for almost 2 hours and no carbon lock. Though I will add I did add the grease GA sells on the site to no carbon lock. But I was blown away that I just could life and twist the gate and I could spin the can right off. I would even consider this can to be even quieter than the RC2. This can has made me a believer in Griffin Armament. If you have any buying concerns over this can, don't. I can confidentiality say I have ZERO buyers remorse with this and have switched over all my 556 guns to be able to host this suppressor.
I use this can for my 11.5 SBR night set up. Performs well when shooting under night vision and excels at signature reduction. As for the dual lok system I was pleasantly surprised by it. I have yet to have any carbon lock issues and it holds sturdy banging it on barricades. Definitely recommend if you are looking for something that is great at signature reduction especially if using NODs.
This suppressor was my first one because I'm not a big fan of the government telling me what I can and can't have but I finally decided to pick one up and wait the 9 months and you know what? I F'ing love this thing! I am a griffin fan for life. Thank you Austin and the rest of the guys down there you guys keep the government tyranny to a minimum and I love it!.
This suppressor is nothing short of amazing. The dual lok system is incredible and could not believe the small amount of back pressure. I have it on a 11.3 rifle and it’s flawless. When compared to my duty rifle that has a Surefire Socom REC2 the HRT out performs it in every way. This is a true operators suppressor.
Wow, all I can say is Ive shot it side by side with the DA Sierra, Sandman K and S and Omega 300. I think the HRT blowed them away. I have it on my LE carbine, a LWRC PSD 8.5" 5.56 which will rattle your teeth without a can. Was so much more tamed, could shoot 3 round strings without ear pro fine and comfortable shooting all day when just adding a fomaie ear plug. concussion was non existent and flash was non existent which is a major factor. Perfect 5.56 fighting can. Liked the can so much, I ordered the HRT 762 the week it was announced. Will buy more these HRT cans. Lastly, shot this same rifle with my Griffin Dual-Lok 7 and still preferred the HRT. The HRT was quieter and zero flash suppression which is perfect for my application as LE. HRT feels more durable like a Surefire Socom. The DL7 is a more versatile can and still sounds great but if I were to choose for a fighting carbine, HRT all day. No other can id buy on the market right now. Mount is perfection also
Love this thing. I got to shoot it at my dealer, its not out of ATF jail yet. Bought it after the first 5 rounds. It has way less blow back than my dead air can.
