The DUAL-LOK™ Blast Shield was designed to offer significant concussion reduction for the end user and other team members operating in the immediate vicinity. Often team members in CQB environments experience concussion from muzzle blast that is not only deafeningly loud, but also can cause prolonged headaches that can last for days afterwards.
The DUAL-LOK™ mounting system is machined into the blast shield body, for maximum accuracy and durability. It features a precision taper interface (one locking feature) between the mount and the device ensuring accuracy and repeatable POI shift. An ACME thread, provides speed and ease of attachment. A robust wave spring provides a reliable and positive heat resistant spring action to the redundant locking collar (second locking feature). The locking collar is semi permanently installed to the mount via factory pressed stainless steel splined taper pins. Since the mount has no wear prone metal on metal sliding actions like many other mounts, there is no need for the operator to disassemble the system. This locking ring includes three anti-rotation teeth (or splines) which ensure the blast shield will not come off inadvertently. The muzzle device integrates 60 machined anti-rotation grooves which is doubled by the collar’s two locking positions. How is this achieved? The collar’s two locking positions are machined out of phase of one another by 3 degrees which provides the system with 120 different locations to lock and ensures that when the blast shield is firmly screwed onto the taper a locking spline will be at an ideal location to ensure a rigid and locked blast shield. When the blast shield is firmly attached, only one of the two lock positions will work, allowing the spring to push the locking collar rearward over the splines. Every time the operator attaches the blast shield, they will articulate the collar to this same locking position.
The patent pending flash hiding end cap features high performance external flash reducing features as well as optimally tuned gas vents that enhance flash reduction while increases flow through performance.
Especially effective on short barrels, the unique design of the DUAL-LOK™ Blast Shield directs concussive force forward allowing an end user to rapidly reconfigure muzzle device function. Ultra strong 17-4PH stainless steel and laser welded construction provides a robust material and build method to withstand intense use and full auto fire without fear of failure.
High Temp Cerakote treatment provides an extremely hard, durable, and attractive finish.
The Griffin DUAL-LOK™ Blast Shield is compatible with our line of DUAL-LOK™ Mounts up to 9mm (not compatible with PSR DUAL-LOK™ mounts).

I just received this product a few days ago. Shipping Was extremely easy and fast and I couldn’t wait to take it to the range. Today was my first day using this product on my 14.5 rifle with a Griffin. Stealth flash hider. And I can tell you this. hands-down, the best products I’ve ever purchased. I do not feel any kind of concussion from my rifle with this black shield even on an outdoor range. I’m looking forward to trying in close quarters.
First I have to comment on the quality of Griffin products. The FDE color is gorgeous! The Coating they use is top notch. The can works great and their Dual-lok system is amazing!

Superb fit and finish. Lock up with the Stealth 2.25 and 2.75 are perfect! Fantastic blast mitigation, especially at indoor confined spaces.
