Takedown Pin Set
Quality peoduct all the way around... highly recommend...
Typical production AR-15 pins are ~.245" diameter and flat on the ends. They operate in .250 pin holes, and items used to push the pins occasionally slide off and can scratch your lower receiver.
This pin set is ~.248" diameter, allowing you to improve your upper to lower receiver fit, and features early Armalite / early Colt style dimples to assist in location of bullet tips or tools used to push the pins. The tool locating dimples reduce the likelyhood of scratching your lower and add a nice feature to ease diss-assembly.
Note: Some Ar15's are manufactured out of specification and are designed to have no tolerance with .245 pins. These would not be a good candidate for this part. Mil-spec uppers and lowers however typically have .006-.008" of play and these pins will remove ~.002-.003 of that play, improving fit and feel of the parts. Does not include detents or detent springs.

Greetings, Another great product from a reputable company not installed yet because waiting for the Ambi lower should be a nice fit.
These appear to be solid pins with a large consistent dimple. Far better than standard pins.
Purchased the Pivot/Takedown Pin Set from Griffin Armament to hopefully tighten up a loose AR15 a little bit. Put a micrometer on the new pins and they are dead on .248". Unfortunately so are my existing ones. So the main reason for the new pins was out the window. BUT, they are nice looking pins and I really like the dimple feature so they are going in the AR anyway. Happy to have them at what I think is a really good price. These aren't my first Griffin Armament products and they won't be my last.
Good stuff
Griffin oversize takedown pins
Have bought 4 pairs of these. They all measure out as advertised. Would be great if the offered even larger diameters e.g. .250, .251, etc.
These are a must if you have a sloopy AR. Tightens things right up.
Easy to install and helped receiver slop
Fit my carbine perfectly with the .248 diameter. Slightly longer length and the dimpled ends are a bonus
