Checkmate HD
Great Suppressor!! No first round pop. I have already tested it on my 10/22, mark IV and P-17 all ran flawlessly with subs and standard rounds. I look forward to running a lot more rounds through it.

Newer suppressor on the market so there was not a lot of data out there. Comes with an ez-lok adapter which is nice. Sound suppression is better than my dead air mask in my opinion. O-ring system seemed a little unusual but surprisingly it appears to serve it's purpose. Ordered from silencer shop so I missed the free shirt deal but overall it was a good purchase.
This suppressor is great! It surpassed my expectations and if I am in the market for suppressors in the future I will be shopping here.
I received my Checkmate on 11 March, only four days after my Form 4 was submitted. I have put 450 rounds of CCI SV through the can sitting on an M4-22 and a MkII FV SR. The Checkmate is exactly what it should be, quiet, easy to mount, remove, and easy to clean. The O-rings work!!! I did notice a very slight POI shift on both rifles. I have only been shooting at 25 yards, I had to dial 1/10 Mil up and the same to the right. This adjustment is consistent after taking the can on and off and swapping between rifles. I would buy the Checkmate again, no regrets, just rimfire fun, thanks GA!
I don’t have any fancy sound metering equipment, so my 40 year old ears (that spent 4 years in the army and nearly the last two decades in various steel mills) will have to suffice. I notice zero first round pop with this can. I’ve run it on several hosts with the ez-lok torqued in the can as a quasi direct thread can until I buy a few more mounts, and it works fantastic on everything I’ve put it on. It really shines on my bolt action ruger, putting down really impressive and consistent groups. I shot it quite a bit on my first few outings, putting easily 500ish rounds each time. Cleaning is a breeze, no real tools required and the baffle stack pretty much just drops out. Slide off the o-rings and drop the baffles in a wet tumbler with some SS pins and you’re good pretty much done. You really can’t beat it.
Took posession on Saturday 3rd Feb. Attached the EZ-LOK adapter with 22 ft. lbs. of torque to the threaded barrel of my Walther P22 and cinched the can to the adapter. Confirmed alignment and then fired 100 shots. What fun to use this can, it is an outstanding product! Talk about dazzle power showing it off at the range. (Fired 30 shots before the can started to warm up.) Cleaning afterward was a piece of cake. Reach into your pocket, pull out a quarter to unscrew the front cap. Then grab the can with your left hand and twist off the rear EZ-LOK interface. Seperated the baffles and use CLR cleaner and a toothbrush, rinsed with warm water and towel dried. Reassembled and good to go. GA really outdid themselves creating this can!
What I can say however is that Capitol Armory made it really easy to certify the Form 4. In case anyone is wondering, if you already have fingerprints in an eft, you can upload them to CA and have it submitted before the kit arrives. The EZ Lock adapter seems fine. Check back in another 5-9 months and hopefully I'll have the can.
I purchased as an alternative to my DA Mask in hopes of it being easier to clean. Shooting both suppressors on a P322 and I cannot detect any discernible difference in sound. Simply sounds great. The Eco-Flow baffles appeared to work since the Checkmate HD has less smoke/blowback than the Mask. On the cleaning front, it was much easier than the Mask. The entire tube, threads, and the exterior of the baffles were spotless. The o-rings do indeed work. One thing to note that after 150 rounds of CCI Clean Subsonic that two or three of the Eco-Flow ports in baffles 1 through 3 had been closed over by carbon. I had to use a dental pick to push the carbon out of the holes. I’d imagine the Eco-Flow properties might lessen with heaving shooting as more baffle ports become closed with carbon buildup. I’ll be using my Checkmate as my primary 22 suppressor from now on.
