Ar parts
Greetings, Another great product from a reputable company not installed yet because waiting for the Ambi lower should be a nice fit. Thanks
The Griffin Armament Ambi Selector kit gives our customers three fully featured selector products that match the stylistic geometry of the Griffin Armament Suppressor Normalized Ambidextrous Configurable Handle (SN-ACH). Built around a heat treated ordnance grade steel central selector hub, two black nitride 17-4 selector paddles can be configured to the users needs whether the user is right or left handed. The hub incorporates a optional screw for trigger match style overtravel adjustment of standard AR-15 or M4/M-16 triggers, enhancing the human interfaced accuracy of the host firearm (enhanced shoot-ability). Overtravel adjustment reduces the time that the applied trigger pull weight is removed from the rifle during firing after the trigger break and prior to reaching the limit of travel. Reducing this time of lost equilibrium, reduces the wobble zone created by the removal of weight at the moment of break.
These are available in:
90 degree: Utilizing the traditional 90 degree pattern, this selector requires the manipulation you are familiar with and have come to expect in the AR-15 / AR10 family of firearms.
55 degree: This short throw selector has a 3 degree offset of the safety notch for the minimum 57 Degrees that put the safety block beyond the pivot pin center. Any selector shorter than this 58 degree mechanical relationship will be less than safe, because pressure on the trigger could theoretically move the selector to fire. So it is our opinion that this is the shortest throw, no compromise, selector switch available on the market.
60-120 M-4/M-16 Selector: This selector requires a 60 degree short throw from “SAFE” to “SEMI”, and another 60 degrees to “AUTO”, allowing a shooter to do up drills on “AUTO” and come back to “SAFE” without dropping out of a ready position, where the std issue M16 with its 90-180 format requires breaking a firing grip, and losing a shoulder weld to allow a shooter to reach the selector to bring it back to safe. You’ll be surprised at how accessible “AUTO” is with the 60-120 short throw M16 selector. This is a major safety enhancement to any registered select fire M-4/M-16.
Over travel adjustment instructions: Reducing overtravel is as simple as removing the lower from the upper for safety, cocking the hammer, and tightening the screw till the trigger will not fire, then backing off the screw until the trigger press allows the hammer to fall, finally loosening an additional ¼ to 1/3 of turn to ensure reliability in all temperature conditions.
The kit includes screws and allen keys for installation.

The ergonomics and features are what I like about this selector. I feel safe when in one position and my targets fear for their safety in another.
Ordered to replace stock selector. Griffin Armament has definitely exceeded my expectations. Installation was manageable and took about 10 minutes. Selector was a little stiff at first but seems to be getting smoother with repetition. Would suggest to anyone looking for a quality product.
Super smooth selector switch, well machined and comes with everything you need. Easy to install as well
Overall, easy installation; however, if one was not familiar with AR builds, the lack of instructions could be a challenge. Once installed, great selector! Not overly stiff but had enough tension to know when engaged. Would highly recommend.
Great, quality upgrade
Quality, good feel and quick
Always top quality.
Install went smooth as silk quick and easy. This is the 4th one installed on my Colts never had any issues with Griffin they rank up there with KAC my rifles are not safe queens there used regularly hope this helps.
I build quite a few AR platforms each year, most being a conglomerate of high quality parts. This time, I decided to build a dedicated Griffin build and use only their parts. For the safely selector, I usually use Battle Arms Development and this is similar in both looks abs feel. This has a more crisp snap into each position. I disliked the small screw size but hopefully they won’t need to be replaced or removed. Build quality seems strong and so far it has functioned without any failures or reported issues.
